Seasons Hospice Honors Veterans for Veterans Day in Georgia

Atlanta, GA—(October 19, 2016) It surprises many Americans to learn that there are 21.8 million veterans as of 2014. These heroic Americans deserve recognition for their military service– particularly at the end of life’s journey. Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care will be honoring veterans at Noble Village-Spalding. The Community Recognition event will take place on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the senior living community located at 5701 Spalding Drive, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092.

The event will include a posting of colors and invocation followed by a pinning and We Honor Veterans certificate presentation.  There will be many photo opportunities for families and staff.

“Getting the chance to honor the veterans that Seasons has cared for and the veterans in the GA community is really special to our organization,” said Rita Isnetto, Executive Director for Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care.  “We recognize that veterans have unique needs when they are nearing end-of-life, so we have teamed up with the We Honor Veterans program to help with honoring America’s veterans and helping them move toward a more peaceful ending.”

The We Honor Veterans program teaches respectful inquiry, compassionate listening and grateful acknowledgement – to comfort patients with a history of military service and possibly physical or psychological trauma. These valuable resources have helped our staff create a peaceful end-of-life experience for the approximately 300 veterans that are on our service daily nationwide.
