SEASONS HOSPICE & PALLIATIVE CARE ANNOUNCES MAJOR SPONSORSHIP OF NAGC FALL CONFERENCE ON CHILDREN’S GRIEF

Baltimore, Maryland (November 1, 2016) – Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care is excited to be a Major sponsor of the National Alliance for Grieving Children (NAGC) Fall Conference and Webcast on Children’s Grief. The conference will take place on Thursday, November 3 at Johns Hopkins Hospital at 1800 Orleans St. in Baltimore, Maryland 21287.

This first-time event is kicking off Children’s Grief Awareness Month in November.  It will feature thought leaders from the field of childhood bereavement who appeal to a diverse audience, including, funeral service, hospice care, health care, education, mental health, child welfare, and bereavement support professionals.

“Seasons Hospice has always been committed to raising awareness for children’s grief,” said Gisele Crowe, Executive Director for Seasons Hospice Foundation. “This conference will focus on understanding the impact of death, dying, and bereavement among urban youth populations. We will be there to empower the individuals in our field to educate themselves on this important topic.”

Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care has been a longtime supporter of helping children through their grief.  Camp Kangaroo, a free bereavement program offered through the Seasons Hospice Foundation and Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, helps five-to 18-year-old children who have lost a loved one learn new coping skills. Camp provides a supportive and therapeutic environment for children and teens and is available in several states nationwide.
