Seasons Hospice Now Serving Montgomery County in Maryland

Montgomery County (October 14, 2015) - Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care announces expanded clinical service offerings into Montgomery County Maryland. Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care also serves the counties of Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Carroll, Cecil, Harford, Howard, and Prince George's in Maryland.  Seasons recently acquired a Certificate of Need (CON) in Montgomery County, Maryland. Seasons’ hospice program has cared for more than 20,000 patients and their families in Maryland since our acquisition of VNA Hospice in 2003.

As expected, Seasons team of highly-skilled healthcare professionals, which includes hospice and palliative care certified physicians, skilled nurses, certified nurse’s assistants, licensed clinical social workers, music therapists and chaplains, are available to help patients meet the challenges of symptom management and psychosocial needs brought on by life-limiting illnesses. Going beyond the continuum of traditional hospice services, Seasons provides special services that go above and beyond those required by the hospice benefit.  Seasons offers Music Therapy, Namaste Care for patients with dementia, Open Access support for patients transitioning from curative therapies, and Seasons Remembered: a project-based legacy program. These enhanced offerings aim to personalize each patient’s end-of-life care experience.  Adding to the core team of non-denominational chaplains, Seasons meets patients and families distinctive spiritual needs with faith-specific advisors and is proud to host Judaic Hospice Services.

We are also proud to address the needs of unserved populations within the communities we serve through our hospice program and our charitable non-profit partner, Seasons Hospice Foundation, which has already completed wishes for terminally ill patients and is in its second year of sponsoring a Baltimore children’s bereavement camp that is available for all children who have suffered a loss.

“We are very excited to now serve Montgomery County, Maryland and to be able to offer our programs to better serve the unique needs of the community,” said Dean Forman, Executive Director.  “We are extremely committed to bringing our mission of honoring life and offering hope and consistently delivering a high level of compassionate care to the patients and families of Montgomery County.  We are confident that we will meet the needs of this community and we look forward to introducing our unique approach to hospice and working more collaboratively with the healthcare providers in this community.”
