Contact us in advance to discuss story angles and obtain the day’s activity schedule.

Each day of camp consists of a combination of fun activities and grief therapy sessions. Camp goals are achieved using a variety of proven bereavement therapy methods.

In addition to meeting the personalized goals of each camper, based on the results of an in-home assessment, Camp Kangaroo has four major goals:

  • Educate campers about what grief is and provide outlets for them to express their grief.
  • Share education about death and dying.
  • Provide peer support by connecting campers with others going through a similar experience.
  • Help children honor their lost loved one and begin to move forward through their grief.
