Sanford Director of Business Operations for Massachusetts

NEWTON, MA., - Seasons Hospice is pleased to announce the appointment of Erin Sanford to Director of Business Operations for its Massachusetts program.

In her new role at Seasons, Sanford oversees all financial, contracting, IT, human resource and operational functions for the Newton-based agency.  She will help guide the agency’s operations as they grow and serve those who are in the end-of-life journey and their loved ones.

Prior to joining the Seasons Hospice team, Sanford most recently served as provider relations manager for AseraCare Hospice in Boston. Before that, she worked for Duke University Health System in North Carolina, where she held the positions of hospice administrator, patient access services manager, and first responder all for Duke Home Care and Hospice. In all, Sanford has eight years of hospice experience.

A native of Massachusetts, Sanford spent 13 years in marketing operations for NEC Technologies and another 14 years running her own business operations consulting firm in the South.  After 14 years out of state, Sanford was eager to return to the Boston area.

“When I returned to Massachusetts in 2011, I spent two years in hospice sales acquainting myself with the local hospice market and Massachusetts regulations,” she explained. “During that time, I learned about Seasons and knew it was an organization that I wanted to be a part of. Director of Business Operations’ positions don’t become available very often, so I’m both thrilled and humbled to be here. Seasons has an excellent leadership team, both in Massachusetts and nationally.”

“We are pleased that Erin has joined Seasons Hospice as Director of Business Operations,” adds Kathy Bliss, Executive Director. “She has an impressive background in hospice operations, as well as an array of leadership, relationship-building and process-improvement skills that will serve our organization well.”
