Goldberger Promoted to Director of Supportive Care in San Diego

San Diego, CA., - Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care is pleased to announce the promotion of Ryana Goldberger to director of supportive care at its San Diego location.

Goldberger joined Seasons Hospice in April 2010, when she became the program’s first social worker. Eventually, she was promoted to director of volunteers and then to director of supportive care in June.

In her new role, Goldberger oversees social work, bereavement services, volunteers, chaplaincy and music therapy.

“Seasons is pleased to appoint Ryana to her new and expanded role as director of supportive care,” said Patricia Putzbach, RN, BSN, MBA, CHPN, Seasons Hospice executive director. “She is an excellent leader and mentor to her team, and her compassion for hospice patients and their families is truly admirable.”

“Hospice care is very privileged work,” Goldberger adds. “That a family in crisis would invite strangers into their home is really remarkable. I am proud to be part of Seasons Hospice. There is a great sense of enthusiasm and teamwork here.”

Prior to joining Seasons Hospice, Goldberger was a medical social worker for Vitas Innovative Hospice Care. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology in 1999 from University of Colorado in Boulder, where she graduated with distinction. She completed a graduate social work program at San Diego State University in 2002.
