Joint Commission Accreditation Earned in Northern California

CAMPBELL, CA., - Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern California has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™ for accreditation. The prestigious accreditation is awarded to healthcare facilities that demonstrate strict compliance with national standards for quality and safety. The award further recognizes Seasons Hospice’s dedication to quality by adhering to the standards set by The Joint Commission, the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare.

"The Joint Commission accreditation is a reflection of how Seasons Hospice holds itself to the highest standards in healthcare,” said Elaine Fritz RN, BSN, executive director of Seasons Hospice. “Our goal is to serve our patients and their families by providing the highest-quality clinical care with love and compassion. This accreditation shows how deep this commitment runs.” 

Seasons Hospice underwent a weeklong on-site survey in which a surveyor evaluated the organization against a variety of standard measures, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management, and home visits at its four Hospice Houses.

"In achieving Joint Commission accreditation, Seasons Hospice in Northern California has demonstrated its commitment to the highest level of care for its patients," adds Margherita Labson, RN., executive director of The Joint Commission. “Accreditation is a voluntary process, and I commend Seasons Hospice for successfully undertaking this challenge to elevate its standard of care and instill confidence in the community it serves.”
