End-of-Life Care Options Expanding in Southeastern Pennsylvania

Phoenixville, Pa. – Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, in collaboration with Phoenixville Hospital, hosted a Grand Opening for a new 15-bed inpatient hospice unit on December 8, 2011. The unit, staffed by Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, features three private patient rooms with family sleeping accommodations and six semi-private patient rooms. Unit amenities for patient families include a family lounge, a multi-purpose meeting room with a kitchenette area and a café-style dining room.

Three more Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care locations were recognized for a “deep abiding commitment to quality end-of-life care” during a series of site surveys by a Joint Commission surveyor, according to The Joint Commission’s website: Phoenix, AZ, Orange, CA and St. Louis, MO service areas. Eleven Seasons Hospice locations are now accredited by the Joint Commission.
